Our Langdale adventure begins near Millbeck. Our route starts off low, loosely following the Mickelden Beck, before climbing up to Langdale Comb. From here, we double-back on ourselves, first towards Pike of Stickle, and then Harrison Stickle, two of the best known mountains in the Langdales.
We continue round to Thunacar Knott, then up to the summits of High Raise and Sergeant Man, before dropping back down to the shores of Stickle Tarn and then to our finishing point.
The Langdales contain some of the finest fell walks in the Lake District, and what this stage lacks in distance it more than makes up for in terms of challenge and character.
